Monticello Utah

The town of Monticello Utah is centrally located to all of the southeast Utah attractions and is a good place to stay while visiting our beautiful piece of America.

Monticello Utah is located at the base of the beautiful Abajo Mountain, under the famous Horsehead, and a great place to rest your weary head is at The Monticello Inn. If you are just passing through, or if this beautiful place is your destination, come stay with us.
Monticello is a small town right in the middle of scenic San Juan County. It offers one of the best and most beautiful public golf courses in Utah. An amazing drive up a mountain road will lead you to Newspaper Rock, and back to all the gorgeous hiking in the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park.
Moab and Arches are only about 50 or so miles to the north, and don’t miss the Needles overlook on your way. To the south of us 60 miles is the fantastic Natural Bridges, then on to Mule Point and Monument Valley. Go back in time and spend a day in Mesa Verde and then back to Monticello for some relaxation and stargazing.
Monticello’s elevation is 7300 feet so the weather here is wonderful in the summer time. You might actually need a jacket when you stargaze!
The MD Ranch Cookhouse offers the best Burgers, Steaks, Ribs and much more at great prices for your dinner enjoyment. Bring your 4x4 or AWD if you want to see all the beautiful scenery offroad!
